A Practical Guide to Coach Bags
Established in 1941, Coach originally focused on men’s small leather goods, while women’s handbags came later and eventually became the heart of the brand. These days, coach handbags range from firm shoulder bags and slouchy hobos to satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and reissued archive designs. Each main line is covered in turn below, with details of what the bag is, when it arrived and how it is made. Several familiar lines have no reliable launch year on record, so launch years are listed only where they are documented.
The prices here are observed market prices from 2026 rather than entries on an official price list, and they shift with size, material and promotions. If you are shopping for your first coach bag, it is useful to remember that similar names can describe wholly different designs. Certain shoppers run a search for a Coach bag by typing “couch bag”, and this can draw furniture pages into the results, since that word also stands for a sofa.
The Tabby Family
The Tabby is a firm-bodied shoulder bag built to be worn crossbody as well, featuring detachable straps and Signature “C” hardware. It arrived under Stuart Vevers in 2019, basing it on a form from Coach’s 1970s archive. Fashion photographer Juergen Teller reportedly photographed its launch campaign, “Dream It Real”. Sold under the main product name Tabby Shoulder Bag, it has appeared in sizes 20, 26 and 36.
The puffy Pillow official website Tabby followed in 2021, sold under names such as Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 With Pillow Quilting. The Tabby 26 was observed selling at $475 in the US and £475 in the UK; quilted and special-edition versions cost more. Its ability to switch easily between shoulder and crossbody wear makes it well suited for buyers who want one bag for both day and evening.
Brooklyn
Much closer to a hobo than to the structured Tabby, the Brooklyn is a relaxed coach shoulder bag made in natural-grain leather. It was launched in August 2024, after its debut on the Fall 2024 runway. Reports so far point to two main sizes: the Brooklyn 28 and the roomier Brooklyn 39. Descriptions of the 39 note that it is large enough for a 15-inch laptop, which makes it a practical work bag.
In the Spring 2026 season, a newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was reported, but it is a different bag from the shoulder styles. For UK shoppers the Brooklyn 28 was observed at £350 at John Lewis. The RealReal’s 2025 resale report said that searches for Coach had risen 160% and named the Brooklyn among its examples; that figure, however, tracks searches rather than resale prices.
The Rogue Line
The structured satchel in Coach’s range is the Rogue, which comes with top handles and a shoulder strap. First seen on the Fall 2016 runway, the bag was subsequently discontinued; a 2021 relaunch revived it. At the top of Coach’s leather range, the line offers versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins. A Rogue 25 in alligator was observed at $8,000, the top Coach bag price observed in 2026.
Coach also sells a Made-to-Order Rogue, which has reportedly taken roughly 12 weeks, or close to 16 weeks with exotic materials. By way of Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own resale and repair program, restored Rogue bags have also surfaced. The Rogue shows, for many collectors, how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship is able to go.
The Empire Carryall
The Empire Carryall is a long, east-west top-handle bag carrying the product name Empire Carryall Bag 34. Having been shown on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway, it arrived in February 2025. Fashion press reported that it was sold out on its release day. Softer-bodied variants called Soft Empire, including a Soft Empire 40, are different styles from the structured Carryall 34.
The Empire Carryall 34 was observed at £475 on Coach’s own site in the UK. Because of its long top-handle shape, it works as a more polished alternative to a coach tote bag for everyday carrying. Anyone comparing listings should look at the number after the name, since 34 and 40 are different bags.

Kisslock: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel
Coach associates the Kisslock motif with the Bonnie Cashin era; the name belongs to a frame clasp based on vintage coin purses. Avoid confusing the separate bags that share the term. The Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather was reported as the first look shown at the Fall 2026 show with an observed price of $350. Earlier Kisslock Frame versions also turn up in listings, so the family could predate that show.
The Kisslock Dreamer 21, with quilted nappa leather and rivets, is an older style now seen largely as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved. Taken from a 1973 design, the Kisslock Barrel Bag came as a Spring 2026 Coach Originals reissue. Adding yet another use of the name, a Kisslock Backpack was also shown for Fall 2026.
The Swinger, the Swing Zip and The Coach Originals
The Coach Originals is a line of freshly made reissues of archive designs, so its bags are brand-new rather than vintage. The Swinger is a short-strap, zip-top shoulder bag finished with a turnlock, and Coach places the original design in 1987. Also sold With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard, the Swinger Bag 20 is the version now sold. The two names should not be swapped: the Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag, drawn from a 1998 design.
Other Originals reported in early 2025 included the Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005. The Coach Originals name was reportedly already being used by 2020. The line gives buyers an archive look without the wear of a properly vintage piece.
Soho Decoded: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker
Because it covers three different products, Soho is one of the trickiest names in the Coach catalog. The original Soho Flap goes back to 2006. Rather than being that 2006 bag, the Soho Bag 25 is a newer, smaller reissue, offered in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard. Soho styles are part of The Coach Originals, and a Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather has also appeared in listings.
By contrast, the Soho Sneaker is footwear that Coach has featured in 2025 and 2026, so it belongs among shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. To separate the bags from the shoe, add “Bag 25” or “Flap” to a search. Since no reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured, check Coach’s own website before buying.
Willow, Cassie and Juliet Explained
These three lines are familiar, but none has a documented launch year, so approach any date you see online with caution. The Willow Tote 24, a Willow Shoulder bag and a Willow Bucket have all appeared in Willow, a pebble-leather family. The Willow Tote 24 is a simple example of a coach tote bag, whereas Coach’s own website has also listed a Custom Willow Tote. Offering a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps, the Cassie Crossbody Bag 19 is one version of Cassie, a line of crossbody and top-handle bags.
Coach’s own website has continued to list Cassie styles with newer style codes. Made in glovetanned leather, Juliet is a soft, slouchy shoulder bag with versions such as the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30. Availability changes by season, so confirm whether a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current before trusting an older review.
All the Lines at a Glance: Observed Prices
In the table below, the main lines appear alongside their shape, key date and an observed 2026 price where one was reliably captured. Rather than entries on an official Coach price list, these are observed market prices that can vary with size, material, color and promotions. UK prices include VAT, while US prices exclude sales tax. Full-price styles can be reduced during sales, and a coach outlet offers its own promotions on outlet styles.
Physical outlet stores and an official online outlet section on Coach’s own website form Coach Outlet, which is Coach’s own official channel. Coach’s head of investor relations, quoted in 2014, stated that roughly 85% of outlet merchandise was made specifically for the outlet channel. Tapestry has since discussed bringing some full-price collection product into outlets, and that figure is dated. A full-price coach store or Coach’s own website remains the place to look for current-season lines.
